The Staff Selection Commission (SSC Delhi Police) has released the updated Delhi Police Constable Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025, along with the official exam schedule. Candidates should carefully review the revised syllabus, marking scheme, and subject-wise topics before beginning their preparation.

The selection process for Delhi Police Constable posts will be conducted in four stages:

  1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
  2. Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT)
  3. Document Verification (DV)
  4. Medical Examination

SSC Delhi Police Constable Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2025
  • The written exam will be an objective-type test.
  • The exam will be conducted online as a Computer Based Test (CBT).
  • There will be 100 multiple-choice questions carrying 100 marks.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • Negative marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi and English).
  • Duration: 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes) with no sectional timing.

This pattern helps candidates plan their time and attempt strategies effectively.

General Knowledge / Current Affairs
  • Questions will test general awareness and knowledge of current events. Topics include Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Indian Economy, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, and neighboring countries. Questions are designed to assess everyday observations and understanding without requiring specialized study.
Reasoning
  • Tests analytical aptitude and pattern recognition. Includes analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, figural classification, number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding.
Numerical Ability
  • Covers Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, and related arithmetic problems.
Computer Awareness
  • Covers Computer Fundamentals, MS Word, MS Excel, Communication, Internet, WWW, and Web Browsers. Word Processing: Document creation, formatting, presentation. MS Excel: Spreadsheets, cell editing, functions, formulas. Communication: Email basics, sending/receiving emails. Internet & Web Browsers: URL, HTTP, FTP, websites, blogs, search engines, chat, video conferencing, e-banking.
